so the Saints + Prvrts show opens in less than a week and a half and i thought i'd give you just a taste of the progress. i'm really trying some new things and with only a month to prepare all new work for this show, the experimentation process has been pretty hectic. but i think i've finally fallen into a groove and am pretty pumped with where these are headed.

again, the opening is a week from friday (March 5th) from 7-9 at 1975 Gallery in Surface Salon. if you haven't already saved the date, DO IT! you're not gonna want to miss this one ;)

The Candy Wall

so i've finally gotten around to shooting slides of new work. i'm trying my best to do a better job of documenting and posting new stuff. these area a few smaller pieces from the SweetMeat Co. show, part of what eventually i referred to as my Candy Wall. they're fun little paintings and i tried some new things with them that i'm excited to try on a larger scale. enjoy!

Encore Presentation

First off let me start by thanking everyone who came out and supported SweetMeat Co's first event this saturday. the turnout was unbelievable and the response even better. there are TONS of people to thank who volunteered their time and energy and my deepest gratitude goes out to all of them. i also want to thank all the fellow SweetMeat-ers for getting down and making this event and collective one of the raddest things i've ever been involved in!

Secondly, due to the amazing response we've decided to extend the show to a "Last Chance" viewing this Friday! Now, this will REALLY be it ... dismantling begins on saturday. So, if you didn't get a chance to check it out or just HAVE to see it again stop back down to 1115 e. main st in the hungerford building for some art sweetness! the time right now is tentative but we're looking at a 6-pm to 9pm window. Hope to see you there!

ps. check out the SweetMeat Co. blog for some flicks of the installation. and check back here for some pics from the opening coming very soon!
